Black Rollneck Jumper: Zara
Premium A-Line Skirt with Embroidery: ASOS Collection
Boots: River Island
Light Grey Cashmere Stole: Johnstons of Elgin
Watch & Bracelet: (both) Michael Kors
It's been a long time since I've posted an outfit post! I miss doing these actually, especially since I seem to have acquired a few new pieces of late! After some good sale hauls from ASOS & Zara, I've purchased some nice bolder pieces to liven up my wardrobe - and this skirt was one of them.
This skirt is something very different to anything else in my wardrobe, and I actually surprised myself when I saw it in the ASOS sale, and found myself swiftly "Adding to Bag." There's something about it that to me feels oh so Valentino, Dolce & Gabanna - while the bright, intricate embroidery makes me feel a little bit more exotic!
I know this will look amazing paired with my yellow Zara jumper, but Scotland has been pretty freezing & frosty these last few weeks - so toned it down to suit the season with my favourite jumper right now. My classic black roll neck, although I have a similar Zara roll neck in light beige which I can barely get off me too!
I love how the black really shows off the skirt, exactly the look I was going for. I can sometimes play it so safe with black, and I'm definitely trying to make sure I add more colour to my look, than just my scarves. And, I know I'm clashing black with navy - but, I think it works.
To keep myself extra cosy in these cold winter months (or any month, in Scotland...) I love to keep wrapped up in my favourite Johnstons of Elgin Cashmere stoles. I just can't resist them when working with such lovely garments everyday. And with my new job in the company, the office can be a little chilly in the mornings, so wearing a cashmere stole while working for a cashmere company is completely justified! Despite my hoarding of Johnstons stoles, this light grey has been my favourite of late. It's so soft, luxurious - and grey goes with pretty much everything!
I've had so many compliments over this skirt from friends & family, what do you think of this look? Let me know in the comments below.
Until next time, Much love!
