Floral & Embroidered

 Black Rollneck Jumper: Zara
Boots: River Island
Light Grey Cashmere Stole: Johnstons of Elgin
Watch & Bracelet: (both) Michael Kors

It's been a long time since I've posted an outfit post! I miss doing these actually, especially since I seem to have acquired a few new pieces of late! After some good sale hauls from ASOS & Zara, I've purchased some nice bolder pieces to liven up my wardrobe - and this skirt was one of them.

This skirt is something very different to anything else in my wardrobe, and I actually surprised myself when I saw it in the ASOS sale, and found myself swiftly "Adding to Bag." There's something about it that to me feels oh so Valentino, Dolce & Gabanna - while the bright, intricate embroidery makes me feel a little bit more exotic!

I know this will look amazing paired with my yellow Zara jumper, but Scotland has been pretty freezing & frosty these last few weeks - so toned it down to suit the season with my favourite jumper right now. My classic black roll neck, although I have a similar Zara roll neck in light beige which I can barely get off me too!
I love how the black really shows off the skirt, exactly the look I was going for.  I can sometimes play it so safe with black, and I'm definitely trying to make sure I add more colour to my look, than just my scarves. And, I know I'm clashing black with navy - but, I think it works.

To keep myself extra cosy in these cold winter months (or any month, in Scotland...) I love to keep wrapped up in my favourite Johnstons of Elgin Cashmere stoles. I just can't resist them when working with such lovely garments everyday. And with my new job in the company, the office can be a little chilly in the mornings, so wearing a cashmere stole while working for a cashmere company is completely justified! Despite my hoarding of Johnstons stoles, this light grey has been my favourite of late. It's so soft, luxurious - and grey goes with pretty much everything!

I've had so many compliments over this skirt from friends & family, what do you think of this look? Let me know in the comments below.

Until next time, Much love!

Zig Zag Zara

Dress - Zara
Boots - River Island
Watch - Michael Kors

Heeey lovelies!

On Saturday night, I attended the 21st Birthday of one of my best friends from University (even though her actual birthday is today; Happy Birthday Lianne!) and had a great evening!

As it was a Houseparty rather than going properly out, it was an easier decision deciding what I wanted to wear - and this gorgeous new statement dress I recently purchased from Zara was the perfect dress!

I absolutely love the colour and style as it's something pretty different to the rest of my wardrobe (which reallllly needs an overhaul, and right now Zara seem to be providing me with a perfect excuse to do so..) even if it does look a bit 1960's!
Since there were no ' Small ' left instore, I opted for a Medium since this dress is all about the over sized  look but I felt like I just wanted to belt this up since I didn't want to look too swamped and needed a bit of definition.
My black high heels didn't look quite right, so opted for these amazing black boots that I picked up in the River Island summer sale (I actually mean that my boyfriend spotted these... oops) and they're so versatile, especially the gold is very on trend & gives an extra bit of something to keep them from being just a plain pair of boots. I love something a bit different.
I know my full length photo doesn't quite do these beauties justice, so took a lovely, more atmospheric photo to truly show them off to you ;)

If you like this look, then please nip across to LookBook and give me a cheeky wee Hype -  I always appreciate them!

Much love!

Zara Trousers

Necklace - Primark
Top - H&M
Trousers - Zara
Flats - Zara

This is my look from last night, I was out for a leaving meal and drinks for a friend from work, so went with an outfit that was something relaxed but still nice for a warm evening, so put this look together.

This outfit is actually (unintentionally) made up of pieces I've bought within the last few weeks, so definitely need to put myself on a bit of a clothes spending ban, even if I have technically been good by grabbing myself lots of sale bargains! Especially these Zara print trousers, which I got for £12.99 in the sale, when originally they were nearly £40. As gorgeous as Zara pieces are, I rarely by their garments at full price, being a skint student and all...
I'm really into this pyjama trouser trend, and I've definitely been needing some bright printed trousers added to my wardrobe to get me out of the habit of wearing my black jeans all the time. As well as being completely on trend for right now I find this style so comfy, soft and I can definitely see myself wearing these for my long days in Uni once I start fourth year... sigh!

These flats too were also Zara, and I love them so much! Genuinely considering purchasing a back up second pair from the website for if and when these get ruined. I love studded flats, they go with absolutely everything so was very happy when I picked these up in the sale too. I really need to do a haul of all the sale bargains I've grabbed recently, and must say that Zara has been my favourite store this sale season!

So I hope you like this outfit that I've put together, and hope to get some more ' What I wore' style posts up soon, even though I need to order a new part for my camera tripod, oops!
I've also posted this on LookBook, so please give a hype if you could ! Here's the link...

Much Love,
