Monica Vinader - Sirens.

Hey Lovelies!

Hope you have had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to a Happy New Year (or Hogmany, for any other Scots among you!). While I was in London, I fell in love with the beautiful pieces as shown above, and today I want to show you my lovely Monica Vinader purchases!

Monica Vinader is a British jewellery brand which describes themselves as "opening up a new category between fashion and fine jewellery." Inspired by Monica's Spanish birthplace and love of gemstones each piece is individually beautiful and unique. By using contemporary methods on rough cut gemstones creates really stunning pieces which are as individual and different as the person who wears them.

Here I have my two 'Siren Rings' which I fell in love with straight away when I passed them in Selfridges. Simple, elegant and very very stylish, there is an array of different designs and gemstones - so although I already own the two shown above, I'd love to add more to my collection already!  I had heard of Monica Vinader before spotting the brand in London, but being up in Scotland I'd never had the chance to see her pieces.

The Siren Rings are stackable, and are all irregular and organic in shape - with hammered/waved bands, for truly individual designs reminiscent of the sea. Personally, I've never been a huge fan of wearing stacked rings together, so I wear my MV rings on separate hands. My exception is though, I will wear my citrine together with my Grandmother's gold band because it gives such beautiful colours and tones with the light, and looks simply beautiful.

Mine are all 18ct Gold Plated Vermeil on Sterling Silver, with the gemstones Labradorite and Citrine. If these aren't your style though, these are available in an array of other gemstones, sizes and metals. I chose to buy these two together for the simple fact that they will go with absolutely everything I could ever wear. But in an aim to inject a bit of colour into my jewellery collection, I have this ring in 18ct Gold with the Green Onyx firmly on my wish list!

I've worn these non - stop since buying them, so these are definitely my new staple pieces.
The Baja & Baja Precious collections are definitely also worth investigating, with the Baja Precious necklace in Emerald being my particular favourite, but is also available in Ruby and Blue Sapphires!

Let me know what you think of these pieces by Monica Vinader? You can view the full collections on her website, but be warned: lots of beauty to behold there!

Much love,
