With wintery weather well and truly upon us, if you're anything like me - keeping cosy and stylish is the ultimate priority. With cape blankets being the 'it' purchase of this season, Johnstons of Elgin have produced some truly stunning ones, exclusively for Selfridges this Christmas. It literally has your name on it, as these beauties can also be personalised in Selfridges with your own initials, along with any of their hats, scarves, socks and gloves. Needless to say, I think one of these capes with the initials 'RJG' would be a timeless addition to my wardrobe - let's watch this space, shall we?
A beautiful blend of merino lambswool and cashmere, these are wonderfully cosy, oversized and Scottish (and London!) weather appropriate so are just the thing for wrapping up this winter. Or, dare I already use the word... Christmas! Although I've shown only two colours of the cape here, they are also available in a stunning blue, burgundy & green, with the final style a lovely combination of grey tones which would be ready to go with everything.
As I feel like I live in my black Topshop jeans (maybe because I pretty much do) and other darker clothing in the winter, I rely heavily on my accessories, jewellery and makeup to brighten up my outfit or add a contrast. Trust me when I say this, as I'm sat here writing in my grey Ghost jumper, black jeans and my Johnstons ' Royal Stewart' cashmere stole! My huge collection of stoles and scarves let me instantly change my look, and after all - working with many beautiful Johnstons garments everyday, there's no such thing as too much cashmere!
What do you all think of this trend, and these pieces? I hope you love! All the links for the garments I've shown are above, I'll let you explore these some more!
Much love,
