Go Britannia!

So it's been a while since I've blogged, and I'm so so sorry! I've been doing various bits and pieces, working  & I was away in Shetland for 4 days for two friends' wedding (absolutely beautiful! Fiona was stunning!)

I was needing to repaint my nails today, and decided to go for an Olympic inspired look. And of course, supporting Team GB! So proud that lots of our medal winning athletes have also been Scottish too :) Heather Stanning, who was one of the two in the woman pair's rowing that won Britain a Gold medal is actually from my hometown of Lossiemouth! And we were all so glad that Andy Murray absolutely tanked Federer to win us gold - that's what he gets for beating him at Wimbeldon! ;)

So I went for some half moon manicure and a Union Jack on each hand - I've taken the photo's step by step so that you can also see how the look was actually created. It has been a beautiful and warm day here today in Scotland, so I was actually sat outside in my shorts & t-shirt painting my nails on my day off, such a great feeling! Although I had to pull myself away from watching the Olympics. If only I was in London and was actually there, however I do have a friend who is currently there and he's enjoying rubbing it in a little! I miss London...

Moving on from that slightly sensitive subject... I'll leave you with a list of the polishes I used to create this look

(Darkest Blue) Chanel Blue Boy
(Lighter Blue) Topshop AWOL
Barry M Gold Foil
Claires Accessories White Nail Art Pen
MAC Touch of Red Nail Laquer (from Hello, Sailor! Collection)

Hope you like! And promise I will blog again soon! I have a bundle of new purchases which I am desperate to show you all - new MAC makeup, new shoes (Hello Jeffery Campbell's!) and some new clothing purchases ;)
